  Mission

  In the wisdom and grace of God and partnership with the

  Church, Canaan Theological Seminary and College (CTSC)'s

  mission is to prepare all individuals with a call into the field of

  ministry by offering a viable and challenging program of

  Biblical Study and instruction to serve.

                  Commonwealth of Virginia
  CTSC is recognized by the Council of Higher Education of the

  Commonwealth of Virginia by Resolution from the provisions

  of Chapter 21 of the code of Virginia, to the extent specified in

  the subsection A. of Section 23-266 which gives permission to

  confer degrees in Religion: Bachelor, Master and Doctorate

  Degrees. This was approved on January 6, 2007.


                  Accrediting Commission International (ACI)


  CTSC is accredited by Accrediting Commission International

  (ACI). Accrediting Commission International is an international

  accrediting commission which holds as its primary objective

   the encouragement and maintenance of sound scholarship

  and the highest academic achievement in the areas of private

  education.  Its purpose is the preparation of quality education

  in private schools, colleges, and theological seminaries. 


Objectives

CTSC objectives are to provide:

  • guidance to students with informed Biblical counsel and life experience;
  • to promote an environment for the students to glean an in-depth understanding of the Word of God.
  • Christian training to stimulate and motivate the students' minds to acquire knowledge; and
  • opportunities for students to perfect the required skills for each preacher, pastor, minister or lay person to function in the field of Christian Ministry (both within and outside of the Church).
